Gardener’s Eden Landscaping was established in 1998 by Gary & Sharon Petterson, also owners of Gardener’s World nursery.
The company is licensed for commercial and residential projects with extensive experience in both.Since its inception, Gardener’s Eden has gained a reputation for high quality workmanship, professionalism, and a “get-it-done-right-the-first-time” attitude.
Gardener’s Eden Landscaping operates from the 20-acre site of Gardener’s World giving it a greater choice of fine plant materials to choose from. Our plants are grown and acclimated to tolerate the harsh Arizona climate. Unlike much of our competition, we welcome our clients into the nursery facility to select the actual plants for their project, as well as learn form the knowledgeable expert team of professionals at Gardener’s WorldWe offer Enduring Quality, Affordable Design and Installation and Free Educational Classes for all our clients.

Gary Petterson
Gary Petterson, co-owner, has over 40 years of experience as a horticulturist and soil scientist, enabling him to offer additional services including: soil and site analysis, consulting, design.
Gary was garden editor for Phoenix Home & Garden magazine for 8 years and chairman and designed of the PHG Desert Bloom Home Show. Gardening enthusiasts watched “Gary the Gardener” on KPHO Television channel 5 for gardening tips as well as answering calls from viewers over 6 years. He was host for 7 years on an early talk radio show on gardening with Michael Dixon. He taught horticulture classes at Mesa Community College & Rio Salado. Teaching professional seminars at Gardener’s World and classes for Gardener’s Eden is one of Gary’s highlights. Gary graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, California with degrees in business management, agronomy and soil science. His expertise in soils was honed when he operated one of the first soil and plant laboratories as well as serving as a county agent for the University of Arizona Extension Service. Gary’s vision in landscaping is valued by the Town of Gilbert where he still guides the growth as he has since 1984 as vice chair of the Design Review Board.
Craig Allison
National Celebrity Gardener and Registered Landscape Architect (CA)
Craig is one of the best-known Landscape Designers in the Southwest.
His syndicated television show “ The Carefree Gardener”, winner of three national Telly awards, broadcasts weekly on over 600 stations across America and has just started appearing in international markets. Before venturing into national syndication, Craig appeared regularly on Sonoran Living Live and made several guest appearances with other local networks.
Craig hosted a garden radio program on KFNX and wrote as a syndicated columnist for several newspapers across the southwest. Craig’s work has been published in many magazines including Phoenix Home and Garden.
With more than 35 years of industry experience. Craig has designed and constructed thousands of high-end projects in California, Nevada, and Arizona including several “Street of Dreams” and “ASID designer show homes”.
Craig taught at Arizona State University’s School of Landscape Architecture and the Desert Botanical Gardens in Phoenix, Arizona. He is recipient of many awards, the most memorable are the only two “ Designer of The Year “ awards ever presented by Phoenix Home and Garden Magazine and the very first Aqua Vision Award.
Kolleen White
Featured Landscape Designer appearing on episodes of HGTV’s “Landscaper’s Challenge”, and chosen designer in 2001 for the Napolitano’s Front Yard Renovation.
Kolleen brings over 12 years of professional experience on a wide range of projects, including the design of commercial, residential and renovation projects in Arizona and California.
A variety of projects have given her an extensive understanding of unique, cultural and climatic environments necessary for great design. Her work is responsive to client needs, environmental impact, and cultural influences.
Kolleen, a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects has a strong commitment to quality with a focus on the presentation of design. She has worked on many award-winning projects including The Jeweled Reflecting Garden for the 2001 Pasadena Showcase House of Design. She was winner of Median Beautification Project for the City of Toluca Lake, CA, and several CLCA awards for design.
